“In October of 2012 I did a 3 week European tour with Alarum and The Levitation Hex. We touched down in Amsterdam, I opened my case at the airport and noticed two strings had snapped (friggin’ baggage handlers). So the day before Progpower Europe in Baarlo, The Netherlands, I put on my usual set of  D’Addario EXL 120’s (9-42), and you know what? I used that same set for the WHOLE TOUR. I even tried (purposely) to snap the strings by employing huge bends, pulling the whammy bar up, everything I could think of. The strings were fine. Great strings on a great guitar equal…….(wait for it)…. GREATNESS!! I had zero problems regarding my gear for the whole tour. One less thing to worry about, really.
